Explanation of previous blog

For those of you who don't know, I had several surgeries this past week. I had foot surgery to remove a lot of bone spurs, drill holes in the bones at the joing to try to stimulate scar tissue to act as cartilige between the joint, and they shaved off a bone that was growing wide and crooked.

The next week I went in and had my tonsils and aednoids out, and a base tongue somnoplasty. (Reducing the base of the tongue.) All this just so i don't die in my sleep. I have been using a bi-pap machine, but I would stop breathing so long it thought I was gone and would turn itself off. Not much help! I also had sinus surgery to straighten my nasal passages because they were zigzag and would not let the mucous drain properly. This caused chronic sinus infections.

Among other news: Sarah and Jon moved to California yesterday. Mike drove down to help them move. He made sure I had all my meds and was home from the hospital and then he drove to Salt Lake in a snow storm to meet Jon and Sarah.

When I talked to him last night, they were only to Reno. There had been storms coming out of Utah and the truck they rented doesn't go very fast. They were planning on staying the night at Mike's sister's home (Aunt Susie) and then going on to Danville where Jon and Sarah will live with Jon's parents until the Lord lets them know what they are going to do next.

Noah and Abby have been great helps here. I also have a friend, (she is the teacher I did my student teaching under for special ed.) who has been over much and helped. Things have been good all in all.

Sorry- I didn't get Christmas cards out this year. I think of you all anyway and love you very much.

I'm glad to hear that the surgeries went well. I'm sure it's tough, especially for you, to be quiet and still and not help anyone else, but I'm glad it's doing you good! Love you and are thinking of you lots!
