Thanks

Thank you Stephanie and Rachel for your help. Rachel, I set up an igoogle page and added the urls I had access to. And thanks to Stephanie I can now add them to my own page on the side. What I want to know is how you get each others blog addresses in the first place? Before you had them on your list- like when they first got one.

Last night was a mello night. Mike was home early for the first time in a long time and we had grilled tuna sandwiches, tomato soup and a side of vegging in front of the tv. Very relaxing for once. I am having a hard time getting into the dinner "thing". I just can't think what to eat anymore and I have to be careful about diet because of my diabetes. Low fat, low carb, watch protien, and don't eat anything is deliciously loaded with sugar, taste delectible, tantalize my taste buds, or that might resemble chocolate! If I could eat with Oprah every night or have access to her chef I might do really well.

Mike was at school to help me get my stuff. It made me miss my classroom all over again. It made me miss the person who could do all that wonderful stuff and who I am no longer. But I know it's right and I need to be home now instead of working. I just wish I could find out what I am supposed to be accomplishing now. Who am I really? What is my purpose? My days alone are long and I find myself tired and sleeping a lot.

On another topic- for all you mothers wondering how to shop with more than one child, I will share what I used to do. I put 1 child in the seat of number 1 shopping cart. I turned another cart around so number 1 child could hang onto the handle of number 2 shopping cart. I put 4 children in the number 2 shopping cart and we played train with me pulling both carts. Worked well as long as child number 1 kept holding cart number 2 and no one in cart number 2 killed anyone else. Actually it usually was a very helpful endeavor with children helping to select items, holding things, (Everyone needs to feel needed) and much room for groceries in shopping cart number one. HAPPY SHOPPING!

To get the blog addresses in the first place, I would start with one blog that you know and follow the links from blog to blog, because as soon as the link takes you to their page then the address pops up in the web address window at the top of your internet screen. You could also simply post a request that everyone comment with their blog addresses. In case you don't have ours, and to simplify things if you go that route, mine is sckmutter.blogspot.com. You could also just set someone else (temporarily) as your administrator with the understanding that they would add all the links onto your page for you :) Good luck!

I did what Calista did. I'm a fairly recent addition to the blog party, so I just used Michelle's blog to get all the addresses. Then as other cousins and friends have gotten blogs or been discovered, I just add them to my list.

The shopping cart train sounds fun - I bet you got some pretty interesting looks doing that! :-)

I like that shopping idea! Calista put it the most succinct (sp?), how to get blog addresses. Mine is rei03011@byui.edu. I'm sorry things are still a little rough going, but glad that you feel okay about it. I can't wait to see you in July!

I also do what Calista said. Just follow links from one page to another. I wish I had known you wanted to get this all set up while you were here and I could have shown you. Abby can show you too though. I know she has her blog set up with everyone's blogs listed on it.
I'm sorry things are kind of rough being home, but it is comforting to know that you know you made the right decision. As far as not knowing what your purpose is right now, you have so many talents and I know there are tons of things you could do, projects you could work on. Find something you enjoy or learn to do something that you've always wanted to.
The shopping cart thing sounds fun. I don't know if I'd be brave enough to try it or brave enough to take 5 kids to the store by myself. I don't know how you did it. You are amazing.

I can imagine that had to be a little difficult to go get your things from the school. Please remember that you are still the person who did all those wonderful things - "to everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven." It's just that you're at a different season in your life, one that is requiring more focus on yourself and your health rather than on others, which would be difficult for most of us. I know I would be feeling the same thing if I ended up home alone without working. Remember your noble calling as a mother in Zion. Abby is only going to be around for a few more years. If she's going to be home this summer, perhaps you could plan some neat activities/day trips in the area to do with Noah and Abby, and perhaps some of the grandchildren if you felt up to it. Love you! (hugs)

Love you mom!

P.S. I can help you do all that stuff I'm not great at it but I get the basics.

It's wonderful to see you up again. I know the pain of "redefining self". It's hard no matter what the adjustment is. You have always been a great example to me and I am so blessed to have you for a sister and friend. I love you.
