It's not winter or fall. It's dead. My beautiful tree in the back yard became anemic and is dying out. We are so sad. We will plant another tree when we cut this down.
My beautiful gazebo! I got the bench for mother's day. I will plant ivy around the gazebo that will grow up over it and be even more beautiful. More of our dying tree.
Mike and I were bummed about our tree. It's 30 years old and has provided much shade. We will have to plant another and wait for it to grow. It will cost $450 to have it taken out, so we are going to try to do it ourselves.
We had a family night discussion Monday and then Abby and I went out and laid on the trampoline and watched the stars. It was nice. We have been eating simple, being relaxed, and enjoying our time. I didn't know it could be so hard to relax, but when you have been super busy for years, it's hard to purposely do little or nothing. I'm managing though. :-) I have little to write about because I don't do anything. I did go walking twice today though. That was to counteract the 3 times I had ice cream. :-)
I am sad about the rising prices of airlines and gas prices. My children are getting spread out all over the US and it will be very expensive to go see them. I will need to figure out my web cam if I'm going to keep a relationship with my grandchildren.
This is the quietest summer I have ever had. Abby is babysitting for someone 4 days a week (Monday through thursday) and cleans house for someone else on Friday. Mike is still working everyday at school. Noah goes to Options and then works. That leaves me alone all day everyday. I know- all you young mothers out there would be in heaven to have a day to yourselves! This is a new phase in my life and it's not as easy as it sounds. I have been taking advantage of it though and have taken naps- which I have needed- blogged, watered my plants, taken walks, and finally watched some tv. I don't feel much like sewing or reading or anything like that. I feel quite lazy and I guess that's ok for now.
I was given a calling recently to be a weekly patron at the temple. They have a shortage of patrons during the day so I am to go at least once a week, Monday through Friday during the hours of 8:00 and 4:00. It keeps me going which I should do anyway.
We are looking forward to our visit to Sarah in July. Before we do that, we need to get the garage cleaned out and get ready for the fireworks stand. DI here we come!
