removing the nails

Well, I managed to get the nails off. I decided to do it myself and save the $5 - $10.00 they would charge to do it. My nails will look ugly for a while but i think I will be happy. I managed to tear one nail off half way down into the nail bed. It HURTS! Eventually it will heal and I can just paint my nails if I want. I am going to try to grow them out; any suggestions? My nails are thin and tear easily. If there is something I could put on them to strengthen them please let me know.

I looked it up on the internet and thought this website had some good suggestions.

GOOD WEBSITE Nicia!

Wish I had more suggestions! Sounds painful. I hope your nails get back to where you feel good about them, without the extra cost!

So glad you were able to get those nails off, but sorry about that one nail! I STILL remember how bad it hurt when a nail would jamm into something. Ouch!

Sally Hensen has some nail strengthener stuff. You can get it at Walmart. I have used it before and it seemed to work pretty well. That, and time. When I took mine off after my wedding, my nails were paper thin, and cracking in the middle. It took a few weeks, and as they grew out I would trim them back down, until they were back to normal. That way the weak edges wouldn't catch on things and tear even more. Good luck!

Annette, Happy birthday today. By the time I could sit down and remember that it was your birthday it was 10 p.m. and too late. So I thought I'd e-mail until I realized I have an old address. So this is the next best thing. I love your bathroom and I have no advice for nails. Hope that you have had a wonderful day, thanks for the friendship. It was great seeing you at the temple.
